Brief description of ventilation systems.

The building is well ventilated, separate exhaust fans are provided at different locations in such a manner that the exhausted air does not contaminate other areas. Separate ducts are provided wherever required.The areas having potential risk of cross-contamination/ microbial growth are provided with AHUS. Separate AHU are provided in following areas.

All the AHUS are provided with 20 micron and 5 micron filters. All are having facility of positive airflow as well as negative airflow.In main corridor there is a supply of filtered air (5 micron) with positive pressure to avoid internal cross contamination.Microbiology lab is provided with HEPA-filters.In service corridor there is a supply of cold filtered air (5 micron) with double positive pressure compared to manufacturing areas to avoid internal cross contamination providing 3000 CFM air blower.

Separate AHU's are provided in manufacturing areas & packaging areas with positive pressure to avoid internal cross contamination. Special area for the handling of the highly toxic, hazardous and sensitizing materials,Substances like inflammable materials etc are stored separately away from the manufacturing area. The area is provided with locks, fencing and adequate fire extinguishers. Separate SOP is available for handling of hazardous chemical substances (As defined in SOP QA-01).
